Morning Prayerwill be conducted in the chancel on specific feast days, as indicated in the daily calendar.
The following outside activities use Church facilities on a regular basis:

In July, Father Gary will take his well-deserved annual vacation. He will be gone for four weeks: Sundays July 4, 11, 18 and 25. He will return on Sunday, August 1.
The Sunday class will be suspended, and there will be no Vestry meeting during the month of July.
If there are matters that require Fr Gary’s attention during his absence, please contact the Vestry.
In his absence, the Eucharistic duties will be handled by Father Jefferson Stephens, the retired head of the Chandler School in Pasadena. Father Stephens has filled in for Father Gary during his vacation during past years, and it will be a pleasure to welcome him back again.

During the summer, we do indeed miss the choir, but we will be seeing some of its members on occasion when they volunteer for solos and small groups. We still expect the best from the congregation when it comes to hymns and service music, and few congregations have their own descant section that can rival ours!
I'm going to repeat a pattern I did a few years ago: Every Sunday during the summer months will feature one hymn from the "Holy Eucharist" section of the hymnal. If a hymn tune is not completely familiar to the congregation, I will probably work it into an organ or vocal solo ahead of time.
